Jobber AI Receptionist: Pricing, Features & Alternatives (2026)

If you already run your shop on Jobber, you have two ways to stop missing calls: Jobber's own Receptionist add-on, or a third-party AI receptionist that sends calls into Jobber. This guide compares them using Jobber's own pages and our vendor database.
What Jobber Receptionist does
From Jobber's Receptionist page (checked 2026-10-20):
- Answers calls and texts 24/7, and you can turn it on separately for calls and texts (after hours, weekends, or while you're on a job).
- Books visits using the online booking settings already in your Jobber account, or creates a work request or a task when a job can't be booked outright.
- Can text back callers who hang up.
- Transfers the call or sends you a text alert when callers use keywords you choose, like "burst pipe" or "no heat".
- Logs every call and text with a summary, transcript and recording.
- Works with your existing number via call forwarding.
Jobber publishes demo lines you can call to hear it: 737-388-0043 (US) and 587-209-4367 (Canada). Jobber notes that demo bookings aren't real and live transfer isn't available in the demo.

How to choose
- You're on Jobber and want the simplest setup: Jobber Receptionist reads the data already in your account, and at $29/mo it's one of the lowest published prices we've seen. Call the demo line first.
- You need things it doesn't list: for example bilingual answering, or live human backup. Look at hybrids such as Smith.ai or Abby Connect, or general AI receptionists like Rosie (visit Rosie, affiliate link).
- You might switch software later: a standalone receptionist moves with you; Jobber's add-on only works inside Jobber.
- Whatever you pick, place a test emergency call and check that it lands in Jobber correctly.
